HerSheMe

HerSheMe was inspired by the poem, ‘Troubled Woman’ written by Langston Hughes with an Illustration by Anne Grifalconi depicting a woman bowed over with her shadow cast behind her. It is an experimental performance art piece based on what it means to be a woman. The play will explore how one exists in a world not easily understood or bearable yet always hopeful. The play will ask questions about the fragility, femininity and masculinity of womanhood.
