Hamlet (Summer Fest)

Revenge, murder, incest, betrayal, love and ghostly beings are all part of the towering story of Hamlet, directed by John Zamora. The story is a quick-paced tragedy opening with Hamlet returning home after the death of his father and King. Hamlet then learns that his Uncle Claudius has married his mother and assumed the throne of Denmark. Hamlet soon encounters the ghost of his father, who tells the young prince that Claudius murdered him and urges the Prince to avenge his death. Set out to obey his father’s wishes, Hamlet begins a series of orchestrated charades designed to dethrone Claudius, who learns of this plot and seeks Hamlet’s demise.
