About the Show
Godspell takes a very 1970s look at the Gospel of Matthew from the Bible. The rock musical, written by John-Michael Tebelak with lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, was an immediate hit Off Broadway. It presents a Jesus (dressed like a clown) and his disciples as they re-enact parables and scenes from the Gospel with vaudeville skits, mime techniques, and joyous rock numbers.
A special matinee performance is scheduled for Saturday, October 28 at 2:00 PM. This matinee performance replaces the regularly scheduled evening show.
