Earth Right Now

Earth Right Now begins with a free Community + Climate Conversation with scientists from Caltech and JPL who will use interactive iPad apps to engage people with fascinating visuals and information about climate change. Moving indoors to Ramo Auditorium at 8:00, Earth Right Now continues with a staged reading of a newly written climate change play: Two Degrees by southern California playwright Tira Palmquist. Theater Arts at Caltech connected the playwright with a “science mentor” on campus (climate scientist and PhD student Jennifer Walker) who helped her develop the science in the play.
