About the Show

In what possible universe would Fran Drescher, Princess Diana, Ellen Greene, The Village People, Jane Wyman, Nancy Kerrigan, and Liza Minnelli mix and mingle?
Only in the whimsical, wonderful world of Tom D’Angora, who is bringing his homage to the above, Divas I’ve Done, to Los Angeles. D’Angora grew up worshipping the women who created magic on television, stage and screen and has turned adoration into inspiration with an outrageously funny, loving and entertaining evening dedicated to these irrefutable, but disparate, icons.

Divas I’ve Done is a multi-award winning show produced by D’Angora in New York last year. The show was honored with Backstage Magazine’s 2004 Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy. Highlights include: an energetic opening which owes its origin to The Village People’s “YMCA;” a brilliant parody of “Somewhere That’s Green” from Little Shop of Horrors which Playbill awarded ” an honorable mention as vocal event of 2003″ and a take on “Maybe” from the musical Annie which has D’Angora waxing philosophical regarding his chances of being adopted by Angela Channing (Jane Wyman) of CBS’ nighttime soap Falcon Crest. Throw in a heartfelt but unwittingly hysterical number from Princess Diana: The Musical and you have the eclectic mix of Tom D’Angora’s passions.

Schedule: November 21, 28, December 5, 8, 12, 15 at 8:00 p.m. and December 1 at 9:00 p.m.
