Evidence Room presents Eric Overmyer’s ‘American Theater Noir’ Dark Rapture. The production is directed by Larry Biederman and stars ER company member Nick Offerman and guest artist Katy Selverstone.

In his ingenious reworking of classic noir themes, Overmyer tells a contemporary story of escape. A raging wildfire destroys a hillside full of homes. Among the debris is found a corpse charred beyond recognition. Seven million dollars in unmarked bills has disappeared as well. Lost in the blaze too? From this incendiary start, Overmyer spins a tale of intrigue and double-crosses, sex and violence, that travels from a bedroom in Cabo San Lucas to a Seattle coffee house to a Key West bar, on and on, creating a picaresque portrait of that American dislocation.
