Christmas O’Carol

About the Show

In Christmas O’Carol, a Celtic spirit in human form visits the home of a pitiless old man on Christmas Eve to test him for his generosity. When the man demonstrates a less than benevolent nature, the spirit regales him with the cautionary tale of a country man named Ebenezer Scruasha who went to Dublin to make his fortune and ended up living a bitter life. After a visit from the ghost of his long-dead business partner, Declan Hurley, Scruasha encountered three ancient Irish spirits–Aengus Og, the Holly King, and the Morrigan/Crone–who show him visions of what had been, what was, and what was yet to be. Scruasha took their lessons to heart, and became a changed, and generous, man. It is then up to the old man hearing the tale to decide whether or not he will do the same. Dan Conroy directs.
