New York City
Dirty comic books; horny, malevolent teenagers; “ex”-gays; and “concerned” citizens collide in David Johnston’s Busted Jesus Comix. This twisted comedy centers around a troubled young artist named Marco who’s comic book, “Busted Jesus Comix,” is deemed so offensive by local community leaders, he is taken to court. When faced with extreme court-ordered restrictions, and when a painful part of his childhood resurfaces, Marco flees for the relative progressiveness of New York City.
Moving Arts and Artistic Director Kimberly Glann present
