About the Show
A Piece of My Heart takes six women from their homes in innocent Kennedy-era America to the jungles of Vietnam where they served as entertainers, nurses, intelligence officers and Red Cross workers. Although much has been written on the service of the male Vietnam veteran, the women’s story has not been told until recently. The U.S. military did not even keep statistics on the women who served in Vietnam.
