About the Show
Two volunteers enter a clinical trial for a new, mysterious antidepressant and soon develop an unexpected attraction. Watching from behind the glass, the doctors—tasked with staying objective—grow increasingly unsure whether these feelings are real or drug-induced. As emotion and chemistry collide, the trial races toward a reckoning that asks a provocative question: Is love authentic, or can it be manufactured?
This production marks the Off-Off Broadway debut from acclaimed photographer and director Sam Sulam, whose film career has led him to collaborate with leading artists including Quavo, Lil Baby, Tate McRae, Kidsuper, and Diplo, as well as global brands such as Adidas, American Express, and Beats by Dre. Known for his cinematic visual language, Sulam brings a striking sensibility to Prebble’s ethically murky world, promising an immersive and atmospheric theatrical experience.
