HAMLET/THE FURIES

This spring, Irondale presents Hamlet / The Furies, a bold theatrical event weaving together Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Aeschylus’s The Furies in one continuous evening. Directed by Jim Niesen and performed by the Irondale Ensemble, these two epic stories collide to examine cycles of revenge, fragile institutions, and the urgent search for justice. Written centuries apart, the plays echo one another — and our present moment — with unsettling clarity and a fierce questioning of power.
