About This Show

In September 1941, Werner Heisenberg visited Niels Bohr and his wife in Copenhagen. Two Nobel Prize-winning physicists, mentor and protege, the men were now on opposite sides of a world war. What had begun as the pure pursuit of scientific discovery was moving swiftly toward a weapon of unspeakable devastation. Michael Frayn’s Copenhagen, winner of the 2000 Tony Award for Best Play, imagines what they talked about in this meeting.
