About the Show

This weekend of staged readings showcases an array of playwrights and features both emerging and established artists. Works to be read at the Winter Studio Festival include St. Petersburg: 1913 by Berkshire-based Robert Sugarman; Pulitzer Prize finalist The Clean House by Sarah Ruhl; the Obie Award-winning dark comedy Curse of the Starving Class by Sam Shepard; Beyond the Veil by Berkshire native Emily Devoti; and Anton Chekov’s classic The Cherry Orchard. Each reading is followed by a discussion.
