Almost Obscene

The BTF inaugurates its Late Nights at the Unicorn comedy series with Joe Raiola’s one-man show, Almost Obscene. Directed by Barbara Pitcher, the show premiered as part of the New York International Fringe Festival in August, 2002. The New York Times called it, “A ruefully amusing lament for the ineradicable hypocrisy of humanity.” Nobody’s safe from Raiola’s outrage, and his targets range from John Ashcroft to the world of figure skating.

Almost Obscene is not appropriate for anyone without a sense of humor, especially with that peculiarly attractive brand of black-edged wit that has a license to carry humor’s deadliest weapon – the truth.

Doors open at 10:15 pm.

There is no performance on August 5th.
