On The Spot Theater presents The Man With Ladylike Hands, a play about Louis Moreau Gottschalk. Born in New Orleans, Gottschalk was the first American to become internationally famous as a composer and pianist. Gottschalk originated the idea of using New World rhythms and folk melodies in his music, far earlier than Dvorak suggested.
