Sir Thomas More must choose between his friendship with the king and his allegiance to the Catholic Church. King Henry VIII wishes to rid himself of his current wife Catherine in order to marry Anne Boleyn. The Pope will not allow a divorce, so Henry resolves to start his own church (which later became known as The Church of England).
