Led by drummer Scott Sadlon, this concert celebrates 20 years since the release of his first recording, The Double Life. This record marked the beginning of a new chapter in Scott’s musical journey in the valley.
Tonight he is joined by Mike Kocour on piano and Dwight Kilian on contrabass, both of whom played with him on The Double Life. The evening will feature songs and arrangements by jazz greats Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, as well as selections from the Great American Songbook and the SONRISA catalog. It promises to be a fun night of music, improvisation, and gratitude for the last 20 years of playing in the Phoenix jazz scene.
