On the Boards (OtB) will present filmmaker Linas Phillips’ return to the stage in Lasagna or: How I learned to stop slipping towards the prison of permanent darkness, set to run at the Merrill Wright Mainstage Theater, January 15-18.

This world premiere will reunite Phillips with longtime friend, Jim Fletcher. Through live action and video, this two-man show explores the boundaries of appropriateness as the duo ruminates on sex, philosophy, spirituality, and loneliness. The piece is inspired by their frank dialogue on the phone and Whitley Strieber’s The Key.

In 2007 Phillips was awarded The Stranger’s Genius Award for film, and his works include Walking to Werner and Great Speeches From a Dying World. Fletcher’s recent credits include Gatz and Sight Is The Sense That Dying People Tend To Lose First.
