The Magic Theatre has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will begin with Tarrell Alvin McCraney’s The Brothers Size, to run September 9 – October 17. Octavio Solis will direct the production, which, as previously announced, will be part of a collaborative effort to present the entirety of McCraney’s Brother/Sister Plays trilogy in the Bay Area.

The season will also include Liz Duffy Adams’ Or, (November 4 – December 5), directed by Loretta Greco and about Restoration era actress Nell Gwen. Greco will also stage the world premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s What We’re Up Against (February 2 – March 6), focusing on what happens when an unconventional architect meets some of her more established colleagues.

The season will be rounded out with Taylor Mac’s epic The Lily’s Revenge (April 21 – May 22). The show, part theater, part vaudeville, part circus and part social experiment, is a fantasia which focuses on love, marriage and Prop 8- and will use dozens of Bay Area artists.
