New York stage vets Stephanie Styles (Kingdom Come), Drew Gehling (Waitress), Jarrod Spector (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and Sara Chase (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) will star in the pre-Broadway production of Roman Holiday, a musical using the classic tunes of Cole Porter. Directed by Marc Bruni, it will run May 23-June 18 at the Golden Gate Theatre , with a Broadway opening to follow in the fall.

With a book by Kathy Speer, Terry Grossman, and Paul Blake, the production will feature Porter classics including "Night and Day," "Easy to Love," and "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye." The musical tells the story of a young princess yearning to experience life, and an American reporter who goes from covering the royal family to covering up her escape. In the span of 24 unforgettable hours, they discover the magic of Rome, the promise of love, and a secret they will share forever. Styles and Gehling will take on roles originated in the 1953 film by Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.

The musical is produced by Paul Blake and Mike Bosner, in conjunction with San Francisco’s SHN. Blake and Bosner also collaborated on Broadway's Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Sunset Boulevard.
