WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Among the special honors to be presented this year, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Signature Theatre Founding Artistic Director James Houghton. Suzan-Lori Parks will be inducted onto the famed Playwrights' Sidewalk in front of the Lucille Lortel Theatre. In 2002, Ms. Parks became the first African American woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for her play, Topdog/Underdog, which was also nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play that year.
