Claire Chafee, Keith Josef Adkins, and Others Selected for Playwrights Foundation Rough Reading Series
Playwrights Foundation has announced the playwrights whose new plays have been selected for the foundation’s winter/spring 2012 Rough Reading Series, which begins January 23.
Playwrights who have been selected for the series include Claire Chafee, Michael Mitnick, Mia Chung, Keith Josef Adkins, and Garret Jon Groenveld. The plays will be presented monthly on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Each play will receive a performance in San Francisco at The Thick House, and at Stanford University in CERAS Hall.
The Rough Reading Series is a partnership with the National Center for New Plays at Stanford University and is a chance for audiences to become involved with a new play very early in its development and follow it through to a future production. Playwrights are in residence, often hearing early drafts of their work for the first time with audiences present.
