Disney's Freaky Friday Extends Run at La Jolla Playhouse

La Jolla Playhouse has extended its run of Disney's Freaky Friday through March 19.
Developed by Disney Theatrical Productions expressly for licensing to theaters, the musical features a book by Bridget Carpenter (Parenthood), and music and lyrics by Tony-winning collaborators Kitt and Yorkey (Next to Normal, If/Then). The premiere production was directed by Tony nominee Christopher Ashley with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo (On Your Feet!). The world-premiere studio recording of the musical is currently available online.
Heidi Blickenstaff and Emma Hunton head the cast, alongside Jeannette Bayardelle (The Color Purple), Eean Cochran (Mamma Mia!), Joseph Dellger (Ragtime), Jessie Hooker (Legally Blonde), David Jennings (Once Upon a Mattress), Storm Lever (The Wringer), Mary Jo McConnell (Beauty and the Beast), Jake Heston Miller (Oliver!), Tony Neidenbach (Anything Goes), Jennafer Newberry (Brother, Can You Spare a Dime), Chris Ramirez (Icon), Julian Ramos (West Side Story), Alet Taylor (The Producers), Jason SweetTooth Williams (Once Upon a Mattress), Sumi Yu (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). Katie Banville (Gypsy) and Jermaine R. Rembert (Memphis) are the production's swings.
