Susan Sullivan and Jessica Walter to Star in Steel Magnolias at Bucks County Playhouse

Charles Busch's The Divine Sister will also bring its original New York cast to New Hope.

Jessica Walter will star in the Bucks County Playhouse production of Steel Magnolias this summer.

Bucks County Playhouse has announced the lineup for its 2016 summer season.

Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias, directed by Oscar nominee Marsha Mason, will kick things off from May 27-June 18. Susan Sullivan (Castle) and Jessica Walter (Arrested Development) will lead the cast.

Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story will follow from June 24-July 16. Directed by Tony nominee Hunter Foster (The Bridges of Madison County), the biomusical features some of Holly's greatest including "That'll Be the Day," "Peggy Sue," "Oh Boy," and more. The book is penned by Alan Janes, with choreography by Lorin Latarro.

Next will be Charles Busch's The Divine Sister, featuring the original 2010 New York cast, which includes Charles Busch, Alison Fraser, Julie Halston, Amy Rutberg, Jennifer Van Dyck, and Jonathan Walker. Directed by Carl Andress, the play is a comic homage to Hollywood's greatest "nun films." Performances will run from July 22-August 13.

The new musical Cake Off will close out the season with a run from August 19-September 10. Based on the original play Bake Off by Sheri Wilner, the musical features a book by Sheri Wilner and Julia Jordan, lyrics by Adam Gwon and Julia Jordan, and music by Adam Gwon. Gaye Taylor Upchurch directs. The show made its world premiere at Arlington, Virginia's Signature Theatre last fall.
