The Arts Effect has announced that Slut: The Play and its companion piece Now That We're Men will extend its run through March 6 at Dixon Place. On Saturday, March 6, Now That We're Men will also have an additional performance at 1pm, and Slut: The Play will have an additional performance at 2:15pm. The run was originally scheduled to conclude on February 27.

Written by Katie Cappiello, and directed by Katie Cappiello and Meg McInerney, Slut: The Play (from the All-Girl Theater Company) deals with rape culture through the lives of teenage girls. Now That We're Men, both written and directed by Cappiello, serves as a thematic prequel from the male perspective.

Inspired by the lives of its 14- to 18-year-old cast members, Slut: The Play follows the journey of Joey Del Marco, a 16-year-old girl who is sexually assaulted by three friends during a night out. The cast includes Brittney Adebumola, Zora Casabere, Willa Cuthrell, Lexa Krebs, Amari Rose Leigh, Mary Miller, Casey Odesser, Katie Prael, Eliza Price, Darci Siegel, and Alice Stewart.

Now That We're Men similarly follows five guys in the weeks leading up to prom when friendships are put to the test. The cast features Jordan Eliot, Caleb Grandoit, Fred Hechinger, Alphonso Jones, and Rayshawn Richardson.
