The York Theatre Company, in association with Riki Kane Larimer, will present a revised version of Vanities — The Musical, directed by Will Pomerantz. Performances will run March 22-April 22 at the Theatre at St. Jean's with an official opening on March 30.

Featuring a book by Jack Heifner and music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, Vanities is a heartfelt and humorous chronicle of the lives of Joanne, Kathy, and Mary — tracing them from their late teen years through adulthood. They grow and change, testing the limits of what they thought they knew about themselves, as well as the narrow views of women society has presented them.

Vanities is based on Heifner's 1976 play of the same name. The York Theatre production will feature music direction by Deborah Abramson and choreography by Shannon Lewis. The creative team also includes scenic design by Morgan, costume design by Barbara Erin Delo, and lighting design by Mike Billings.

Vanities had its off-Broadway premiere in 2009 at Second Stage, starring Anneliese van der Pol as Kathy, Lauren Kennedy as Mary, and Sarah Stiles as Joanne — all of whom are featured on the musical's 2009 cast album. Vanities returned to the stage in 2016 with a limited run in London's West End, featuring new material.
