Atlantic Theater Company Announces Commissions From Sarah DeLappe and Others

Several writers have been chosen, including four through a co-commission with producer Jean Doumanian.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced commissions of six new plays by Ngozi Anyanwu, Clare Barron, Carla Ching, Sarah DeLappe, Lucas Hnath, and Jack Thorne.

Anyanwu (The Homecoming Queen), DeLappe (The Wolves), Hnath (A Doll's House, Part 2), and Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) are recipients of the inaugural Jean Doumanian co-commissions with Atlantic Theater Company.

Ching (Nomad Motel) is commissioned through the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation. The commission for Baron (Dance Nation) is made possible through the Individual Artists Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.

Timelines for plays and productions are still to be announced.
