The Public Theater has announced a final three-week extension for its New York premiere production of Jane Anderson's Mother of the Maid, starring Glenn Close and directed by Matthew Penn. After an initial extension through Sunday, December 2, it will now run through Sunday, December 23.

Mother of the Maid, according to a press release, "tells the story of Joan of Arc's mother (Glenn Close), a sensible, hardworking, God-fearing peasant woman whose faith is upended as she deals with the baffling journey of her odd and extraordinary daughter."

In addition to Close, the cast features Dermot Crowley, Olivia Gilliatt, Kate Jennings Grant, Andrew Hovelson, Daniel Pearce, and Grace Van Patten.
