Alan Campbell to Appear in Carolina Ballet’s Dracula

Tony Award nominee Alan Campbell will play Dr. Seward in the Carolina Ballet’s Dracula, to run October 14-31 at the A.J. Fletcher Theater of the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ballet, which is based on the novel by Bram Stoker, will be choreographed by two-time Tony Award nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

The ballet will be paired with Masque of the Red Death, based on the story by Edgar Allan Poe, and choreographed by Robert Weiss.

Both ballets will feature music by J. Mark Scearce, sets by Jeff A.R. Jones, and costumes by David Heuvel. The evening’s conductor will be Alfred E. Sturgis.

Campbell is best known for his work as Joe Gills in Sunset Boulevard, for which he received a Tony nomination.
