Yasiin Bey, the performer once known as Mos Def, has joined the cast of John Carney’s film Can A Song Save Your Life?, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film stars Keira Knightley as a young woman who moves to New York to pursue her dreams of a singing career and hooks up with a down-on-his-luck record producer (played by Mark Ruffalo) Bey portrays Ruffalo’s longtime business partner in the recording industry.
