The Playwrights Realm has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming U.S. premiere of Dov and Ali, to play The Cherry Lane Studio, June 5-June 27, with an official opening June 12. Anna Ziegler’s new play will be directed by Katherine Kovner.
Set in a Detroit school, the play explores the disconnect between an Orthodox Jew and a strict Muslim and who will stand by their beliefs or face the devastating consequences. The cast will feature Utkarsh Ambudkar, Heidi Armbruster, Anitha Gandhi, and Adam Green.
The design team will include Oana Boetz-Ban (Costume Design), Steven Kemp (Set Design), Traci Klainer (Lighting Design), and Daniel Kluger (Sound Design).
