Tony Winners Gabriel Ebert and Nikki M. James Sing Dave Malloy's Music in a Preludes Montage

Rachel Chavkin directs the new musical inspired by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Preludes, a new musical by Dave Malloy (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), is inspired by the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff. Developed with and directed by Rachel Chavkin for LCT3, the show is now playing at Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater through July 19.

In this new video montage from the production, the cast (which features Gabriel Ebert, Eisa Davis, Gabriel Ebert, Nikki M. James, Joseph Keckler, and Chris Sarandon) plays out Malloy's idea of a musical fantasia set in the hypnotized mind of Russian composer following the disastrous premiere of his first symphony.
