Tony Award Winners Matt Doyle and Bonnie Milligan Will Perform at New Festival Matchbook Fest 2026

Mix & Match Productions announced Matchbook Fest 2026, a new five-week summer festival created to celebrate the creative process. Running July 22-August 21 at Greenwich House Theater, the festival provides artists with the opportunity to develop, test, and share ideas in front of a live audience.

Matchbook Fest 2026 includes work at every stage of development, from polished presentations to first readings, intimate concerts, and one-night experiments still finding their final form.

The lineup includes Matt Doyle & Bonnie Milligan: Mentally Unwell, But Funny (July 26), described as, “Broadway besties in concert. Who the hell knows what it’ll be, they don’t yet;” Steady (July 24), a new play exploring what we are willing to accept for our art by Trey Everett, with original music by Eleri Ward and direction and choreography by Tony Award nominee Ellenore Scott; Steve Burns Alive (July 29-30), Blue’s Clues‘ Steve Burns solo play about fame, grief, and internet mythology; and Bryce Pinkham: Father Time (August 1-2), a solo musical about Tony and Grammy-nominated performer Bryce Pinkham’s true story of becoming a father in a moment of crisis.

Other shows include Andrew Lippa: New Songs, New Stories (August 3), a one-night-only event that invites audiences inside the work of an artist still writing his next chapter; The Joe Iconis Musical Hootenanny (August 10), an evening of new musical theater hosted by Joe Iconis that includes an open mic for new and upcoming songwriters; Zack Zadek & Friends (August 17), an intimate concert featuring Zack Zadek and special guests; and Precursula (August 21), Caroline Kingsley Moffat’s play telling the sea witch’s long-overdue side of the story, starring SNL’s Alex Moffat.
