Thrillpeddlers has announced an extension for its production of the new full-length, restored version of The Cockettes’ 1972 musical comedy, Hot Greeks, which will now perform at the Hypnodrome Theatre through May 19.

Loosely based on Aristophanes’s Lysistrata, the musical features the Tri Thigh Sorority girls jiving to the big-band hit parade sounds of the 1940s. The kids sing and dance through the ruins, on their way to consult the Oracle of Delphi in their pursuit of victory on the gridiron while Lysistrata, in full football player drag, strives to save the day for the Gods and Greece.
