The Kennedy Center 2015-2016 World Stages to Include a Premiere by Stew and Heidi Rodewald

The series presents global works of theater, music, dance, and more.

The Kennedy Center has announced the lineup for its 2015-2016 World Stages season. For the series, the Kennedy Center’s International Programming brings leading companies and artists from the U.S. and abroad to present six works of theater, music, dance, and more.

The 2015-2016 World Stages series will include the U.S. premiere of Seuls (September 18-19), a play written, directed, and performed by Wajdi Mouawad; Wagner, Max! Wagner! (September 25-26), which is conceived and composed by Stew, Heidi Rodewald, and The Wagner Problem; Sancho: An Act of Remembrance (September 25-26), a witty and moving one-man play conceived, written, and performed by British actor Paterson Joseph; The Language of the Future (March 4-6) conceived, created, and performed by Laurie Anderson; Happy Hour (March 10-11), a new dance work choreographed by Monica Bill Barnes and performed by Monica Bill Barnes and Anna Bass; and The Odyssey: From Vietnam to America (March 11-12), conceived and composed by Vân-Ánh Võ.

Wagner, Max! Wagner! is commissioned by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts with the support of the Goethe-Institut Washington DC. International Programming at the Kennedy Center is made possible through the generosity of the Kennedy Center International Committee on the Arts.
