
Finborough Theatre has announced the selections for its upcoming summer 2012 season.
The season will begin with the world premiere of The Fear of Breathing – Stories from the Syrian Revolution, a play written by journalists Ruth Sherlock and Paul Wood, directed by Zoe Lafferty, and taken from first-hand reports smuggled out of Syria. The production will run July 17-August 11. Kieran Lynn’s new play An Incident at the Border will run Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from July 22-August 7.
J.B. Priestley’s Cornelius, will play August 14-September 8, under the direction of Sam Yates. Jane Wainwright’s debut play Barrow Hill, directed by Abbey Wright, will run Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from August 19-September 4.
The season will close with Stanley Houghton’s Hindle Wakes, the first London production of the piece in 30 years, running from September 11-29. On Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, the first London revival in 35 years of Martin Sherman’s Passing By will run from August 16-September 25.
