Two upcoming 54 Below performances will feature favorites from the show, cut songs, and more.
Following a sold-out performance, the cast of the recent Broadway revival of Side Show will reunite once again for Added Attractions, a one-night concert, at 54 Below. Jeff McCarthy, of the show's original Broadway production, will be a special guest at the two concerts, which will take place May 11.
The evening will feature Side Show cast members Erin Davie, Emily Padgett, Matthew Hydzik, David St. Louis, Brandon Bieber, Charity Angel Dawson, Lauren Elder, Derek Hanson, Javier Ignacio, Kelvin Moon Loh, Barrett Martin, Con O’Shea-Creal, Blair Ross, Hannah Shankman, and Josh Walker. There will also be a special appearance by Side Show composer Henry Krieger.
The event will feature actors and musicians from Side Show coming back together to perform favorite tunes from the show as well as songs cut or never used and new arrangements of familiar numbers. The evening will be hosted by librettist and lyricist Bill Russell, with musical direction by Greg Jarrett, Larry Lelli on drums, and Steve Count on bass.
After sold-out performances in March, which were recorded by Broadway Records, this return engagement will coincide with the launch of the live recording: Side Show: Added Attractions: Live at 54 Below. The album can be pre-ordered here.
The recent Broadway revival of Side Show was rethought and reworked from the show's original version in collaboration with director Bill Condon. It played at the St. James Theatre from October 28-January 4.
