Bashor will perform at 54 Below, fresh from her first Broadway role.
Whitney Bashor, who just concluded her Broadway run as Marian/Chiara in The Bridges of Madison County, will make her solo concert debut at 54 Below on Thursday, June 26.
Her cabaret will showcase her wide vocal range, with a bill that includes songs from the rock and roll, R&B, folk, country, contemporary, and Broadway archives. Bashor's Bridges of Madison County castmate Katie Klaus will join her for the performance, with Jodie Moore as music director and pianist and Matt Hinkley on guitar.
Bashor is best known for singing Jason Robert Brown's folk-inspired "Another Life," which earned her the 2014 Clarence Derwent Award for most promising female performer on the New York scene. Established in 1945, the Clarence Derwent Award has been awarded to performers such as Nina Arianda, Annette Bening, Kristin Chenoweth, Morgan Freeman, Allison Janney, Frances Sternhagen, and Christopher Walken.
