Talia Suskauer and Max Chernin will star in the New York premiere of the musical A Walk on the Moon, running June 15-August 22 at the Laura Pels Theatre.

A Walk on the Moon, inspired by the film of the same title, has a book by screenwriter Pamela Gray, music and lyrics by AnnMarie Milazzo, direction by Sheryl Kaller, and choreography by Josh Prince.

The musical is the story of an unfulfilled housewife who begins an affair that threatens to destroy her marriage to her high school sweetheart.

Suskauer and Chernin, who starred together in the tour of Parade, play Pearl and Marty. They’re joined by Sam Gravitte as Walker, Andréa Burns as Lillian, Sophie Pollono as Alison, Oscar Williams as Ross, Leo Caravano and Reid Gardner Clarke (alternating as Danny), Andrew Faria (Irv), David R. Gordon (Neil), Megan Kane (Bunny), Caroline Pernick (Eleanor), Becca Suskauer (Rhoda), and Michael Tacconi (Stan).

Understudies are Jodi Bluestein, Tucker Gold, Ellie Schwartz, and Richard Spitaletta,

Kaller’s production features sets/projections by Tal Yarden, costumes by Ricky Lurie, lighting by Robert Wierzel, Sound by Justin Stasiw, Music Direction by Jillian Zack, and Music Supervision and Arrangements by Andy Einhorn.

Of the musical’s East Coast premiere in 2022, our critic said, “It succeeds as both a piece of nostalgia and a warmly sympathetic examination of desires achieved and unfulfilled.”
