The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) will honor Suzan-Lori Parks at its upcoming benefit by inducting her into the NYFA Hall of Fame. The benefit will be held on April 30 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Espace.

Parks will be introduced by Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater. Parks was named a MacArthur Fellow in 2001 and won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Top Dog/Underdog in 2002. She is currently the playwright in Residence at The Public Theater and is represented on Broadway by The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.

2012 inductees will also include architects Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio, whose work includes the redesign of Alice Tully Hall, the renovation and expansion of The Juilliard School and the creation of the High Line; multi-media artist Christian Marclay, whose 24-hour film The Clock won the Gold Lion at the Venice Biennale; and patron of the arts Ben Rodriguez-Cubenas, program director of the New York City portion of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
