STAGES presents Urinetown.
STAGES Performing Arts Academy’s teen workshop is underway in St. Louis. The clinic will conclude with a full-scale production of Urinetown: The Musical at the Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade College Preparatory School on August 3.
A hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold, this production of Urinetown is overseen by guest director Peggy Taphorn and technical director and former production manager Joe Novak. The musical features teens ages 13 to 18.
STAGES’ three-week long workshop aims to inspire passion, creativity, and curiosity among students. The musical is the culmination of work by professional teachers, directors, guest artists, and talented teens. This performance workshop is the most comprehensive to date for STAGES. New this year for teens interested in technical theatre, Novak and Sean Savoie will lead training session on behind the scenes skills and set creation.
