Spike Lee to Be Honored At Venice Film Festival

Director Spike Lee will be honored at The 69th Venice Film Festival on August 31 with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker 2012 award.


Lee’s latest film, the Michael Jackson documentary Bad 25, will be screened at the Festival out of competition.


Lee is currently represented on Broadway as director of Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, and directed the film version of the Broadway musical Passing Strange. His many other films include Do the Right Thing, Jungle Fever, Summer of Sam, and Clockers.
