Signature Theatre Commissions New Musicals from Joshua Rosenblum, Josh Schmidt

Signature Theatre has announced plans to commission two new musicals under Signature’s American Musical Voices Project: The Next Generation.

Composers Joshua Rosenblum and Josh Schmidt are set to create two new musicals to be produced in Signature’s future seasons. Rosenblum and Schmidt were each awarded honoree grants from Signature Theatre in 2011.

Joshua Rosenblum’s works include Fermat’s Last Tango, Bush is Bad, and The Joy of Going Somewhere Definite, all of which have been produced off-Broadway.

Josh Schmidt’s previous musicals include Adding Machine and A Minister’s Wife.
