The Washington, D.C.-based Shakespeare Theatre Company is becoming a conservatory partner of the William E. Doar Jr. Public Charter School starting this fall.

The William E. Doar Jr. Public Charter School for the Performing Arts (WEDJ PCS) blends rigorous academics with world-class art instruction. This is the only school in the D.C. area to provide such training at no additional cost to families.

With its new partnership with the Shakespeare Theatre Company, WEDJ PCS kindergarten through 8th graders will be introduced to theater arts and classic Shakespeare works through a unique combination of movement, improvisation, and character development. Students also have the opportunity to see the company’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
