Every summer, theater artists from around the world travel to bucolic Utah to develop new plays and musicals as part of the Sundance Institute's Theatre Program at the Sundance Resort. Alums of the prestigious program include the past two Tony-winning Best Musicals, Fun Home and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder.

The 2015 Lab program welcomed writers and directors including Rachel Chavkin (Preludes) and Kip Fagan (Grand Concourse), as well as performers the likes of Ugly Betty costars America Ferrera and Tony Plana. TheaterMania invited several of this year's participants to document their journey, and you can find their collective photo album in the gallery below.
