Upcoming products include materials from Wicked, Suffs, Redwood, and Cabaret.

Scenery Bags, the eco-conscience accessories brand transforming discarded Broadway materials into limited-edition fashion and home pieces, is celebrating Earth Month by spotlighting the fact that art is often thrown away.
Each year, thousands of pounds of theatrical backdrops, scrims, and stage materials from Broadway and regional productions are discarded once a show closes. As a then stage manager on Broadway, Jennifer Kahn, founder and CEO of Scenery Bags, knew the amount of time and effort invested in creating scenic elements for theatrical productions. Her goal for Scenery Bags was to work as an act of preservation to save artistic legacy by upcycling materials and to help protect the planet.
The materials utilized by Scenery Bags undergo a meticulous process of cleaning and repurposing. Some products include pouches from Wicked, The Lion King, Suffs, Cabaret, and Kinky Boots, and jewelry crafted from the stage of Beetlejuice, Jagged Little Pill, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
Scenery Bags also helps keep theater accessible for future generations by donating 10 percent of all proceeds to the Theatre Development Fund (TDF). The company also engages in product collaborations, with portions of proceeds benefiting organizations such as the Cody Renard Scholarship, Broadway Green Alliance, and Stonewall Community Foundation.
