Samuel L. Jackson, Lucy Liu, Tony Bennett Attend American Theatre Wing Gala

Last night, September 18, the American Theatre Wing celebrated its annual gala with no shortage of stars on hand for the monumental occasion. The event, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, was in honor of the organizations 100th year and saw the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Lucy Liu, and Tony Bennett, who were all eager to join the anniversary. Natalie Cortez, Evie Dolan, Santino Fontana, Heather Headley, Norm Lewis, Rebecca Luker, Beth Malone, Howard McGillin, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Laura Osnes, and Taylor Trensch all performed at the event. Hosts for the evening included David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris, Julie Chen and Leslie Moonves, Lea DeLaria, Whoopi Goldberg, and LaTanya Richardson Jackson and Samuel L. Jackson. CeCe Black, Nicole Eisenberg, Anki Leeds, Marva A. Smalls, and Nadine Wong served as gala chairs.
The gala was not only in honor of the organization's centennial, but was in celebration of the power of musical theater in American life over the past 100 years. The funds raised at the gala will provide vital support for the Wing's programs, which champion theatrical excellence at every stage and ensure that American theater has a dynamic and diverse future.
