Sam Gold to Direct New Revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Sam Gold will direct a planned Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in the spring of 2027.

The lead producer is Seaview, which has collaborated with Gold on the recent revivals of Romeo and Juliet and An Enemy of the People.

Casting for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will be announced at a later date. The last Broadway revival of the drama, in 2013, starred Scarlett Johansson and Benjamin Walker.

Winner of the 1955 Pulitzer Prize, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is set during a contentious family gathering, during which unspoken truths and long-simmering tensions rise to the surface.
