Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Tony Meneses, and Joe Iconis Bring World Premiere Productions to Two River Theater's 2014-15 Season

Red Bank, New Jersey's Two River Theater has announced the production lineup for its 2014-15 season, which will include a combination of classic works and world premieres.

Molière's classic comedy The School for Wives, translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur, will open the season in the Rechnitz Theater. Mark Wing-Davey will direct the production, scheduled to run from September 13-October 5, with an official opening set for September 19.

Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's iconic musical Camelot is next in the Rechnitz Theater. Directed by David Lee, the production is scheduled to run from November 15-December 14, with an official opening on November 21.

From December 19-22, the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia will present The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Favorites. The show retells three beloved children's stories by Eric Carle — The Mixed-Up Chameleon, Little Cloud, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar — in a stage presentation that incorporates music, puppetry, and other visual effects.

Olivier, Tony, and Molière Award-winning playwright Alan Ayckbourn's holiday-themed comedy Absurd Person Singular will ring in 2015 at Two River Theater. Jessica Stone helms the production, set to run from January 10-February 1, 2015, in the Rechnitz Theater. The official opening is scheduled for January 16.

The world premiere of Mexican-born playwright Tony Meneses' Guadalupe in the Guest Room, directed by Daniella Topol, will be next in the Marion Huber Theater. The production will begin performances February 14, 2015, in advance of a February 27 opening, and will run through March 15.

Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Lackawanna Blues) will then helm the world premiere of his new drama Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine in the Rechnitz Theater. Performances will run from April 11-May 3, 2015, with an official opening set for April 17.

Two River will continue its A Little Shakespeare series with a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, adapted and directed by Jason McDowell-Green. The 90-minute version of Shakespeare's romantic comedy will feature a cast of local high school students. The production will run from April 23-May 1, 2015, in the Marion Huber Theater.

The world premiere of Be More Chill, a new musical based on the 2004 novel by Ned Vizzini featuring a score by Joe Iconis (NBC's Smash) and a book by Joe Tracz, will round out the season. Six-time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis will direct the production, set to run in the Rechnitz Theater from May 30-June 21, 2015.
