Rick Batalla and Henry Phillips’ CHiPS the Musical will premiere at the Falcon Theatre, running June 17 – July 2. Matt Walker will direct the production.
Based on the 1970s series, the musical revisits the adventures of motorcycle cops Ponch and John as they battle female eco-terrorists sporting roller skates and short shorts.
Batalla and Phillips co-wrote the Ovation Award-winning Blake…Da Musical. Batalla’s other credits include Barnaby Jones is Jed! and Telly Like It Is. Phillips has been seen performing his specialty songs and original stories on Comedy Central, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and NBC’s Late Friday.
